Would you like to experience yourself, your partner, and your relationship from a more grounded and compassionate place?

Sometimes, the way we respond in the present is deeply shaped by what we’ve been through in the past. When those earlier experiences are triggered, reactions can feel automatic, intense, and hard to control.

Over time, these patterns can lead to confusion, emotional overwhelm, miscommunication, and distance in your relationships.

EMDR therapy offers a way to work through those unresolved experiences so you can recognize patterns, understand where they come from, and shift how you respond – so you can move toward greater clarity, connection, and trust.

You may be noticing that your reactions feel stronger than the moment seems to call for.

  • Maybe you reflect back on an interaction and think, Why did I respond that way?

  • Maybe your emotions escalate quickly, or you shut down and have a hard time finding your way back.

  • Maybe you feel stuck in patterns that don’t reflect how you actually want to show up.

These experiences can be connected to unresolved trauma or distressing past events. When something in the present activates an old wound, your nervous system may move into protection before you even realize it.

In our work together, we can begin to understand these patterns, gently explore their origins, and develop ways to help you feel more grounded, regulated, and in control of your emotional responses.

What Is EMDR Therapy?

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is a structured, evidence-based therapy that helps the brain process and heal distressing experiences that may feel stuck.

In EMDR sessions, we use bilateral stimulation (I use tapping) to support your brain in reprocessing difficult memories and reducing the emotional intensity attached to them.

Unlike traditional talk therapy, EMDR doesn’t require you to explain every detail at length. Instead, we work with what’s coming up internally while helping your nervous system process it in a safer, more adaptive way.

This is individual therapy focused on your personal healing process.

As you begin to heal, you may notice meaningful shifts in how you feel, respond, and show up in your relationships.

How EMDR Can Help

EMDR can be helpful for processing experiences related to:

  • trauma and unresolved past events

  • anxiety and panic

  • addictions

  • depression

  • eating disorders

  • emotional overwhelm

  • negative core beliefs

  • relationship triggers and reactivity

  • patterns of shutdown, avoidance, or defensiveness

As those experiences begin to heal, many people notice they feel more present, more steady, and more able to respond rather than react.

What to Expect

EMDR is a collaborative process, and we move at a pace that feels supportive for you.

We’ll begin by getting a clear picture of what’s been coming up, building tools for grounding and regulation, and identifying the experiences that may be contributing to your current emotional responses.

From there, we use EMDR to help process those experiences in a way that supports healing without forcing or rushing the process.

My role is to guide and support you with care, clarity, and honesty – so this work feels both grounded and impactful.

If you’re feeling ready to understand your reactions more deeply and begin healing what’s underneath them, EMDR can be a powerful next step.
